Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ashley began making films when she was 15 and went on to graduate with a degree from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. After a year spent working in policy and political media, she moved to Mongolia to broaden her international experience. Working with nomadic herders was eye-opening, but after over a year, she migrated south to the slightly warmer climes of Beijing,

China. During her three years there, she returned to media, first at Caixin Media, then as a film/TV producer at John Woo's Entertainment Experience China.

Ashley has traveled all over the world, and has lived in Houston, Washington DC, Paris, London, Ulaanbaatar, Beijing, and New York City. She is particularly interested in international film/TV productions, media in developing and emerging markets, and the impact of new technologies on film/TV.
